Article 4 : Contest conduct

  • 1st step:

To participate in the Contest, projects must be registered in the AVANTEX Club on the WIRATE web platform (hereinafter referred to as "the Platform").

The connection to the Platform is made through a LinkedIn link using the address: https://wirate.co/fr/my/projects/create/.

When a project is carried out by a team of several people, all team members must register individually in the AVANTEX Club on the Platform.

The project presentation file must include at least the following elements: project description, link to the project website if available, and links to candidates' pages on social networks presenting their project and pitch deck.

It is recommended to complete these elements with a video pitch and a synthetic business plan, as well as any element intended to accurately describe the project and to allow Platform members to be informed as fully as possible about the characteristics of each candidate project. Confidential information may be published in private mode.

The projects registered on the Platform and all data communicated in public mode by the participants are accessible to all Internet users who are members of the Platform, who can examine them with a view to assigning them an evaluation in the form of a score between 0 and 10.

Warning: projects not published in public mode are invisible to the public and therefore automatically disqualified!

At the time of application, candidates must ensure that they are available on the day of the final.

It is recommended that each participant register their project as soon as possible, so that it can be the subject of as many evaluations as possible by the Platform members.

Platform members will be able to rate projects until midnight on September 8th.

At the end of this first stage, the organisers will draw up the list of candidates selected for the 2nd stage.

Depending on the number of relevant applications, the 5 to 10 registered projects with at least 8 evaluations and the highest scores will be selected.

In the case of tied projects, the project with the highest number of evaluations will be selected.

The results of the selection of the 1st stage will be announced on September 9, 2018.

  • 2nd step:

The project leaders selected at the end of the 1st stage must present their project in the form of a pitch of a maximum duration of 5 minutes during the final of the Avantex Fashion Pitch organised on the 18th September 2019 at 4.30pm in the Avantex Agora as part of the show at the Bourget Exhibition Center, Hall 4.

Participants absent from this presentation session will be disqualified.

At the end of the presentations before a jury composed of recognized professionals from the fashion and entrepreneurship sector, the project with the best average will receive the contest prize.

The results will be announced at the end of the jury's deliberations during an awards ceremony followed by a cocktail event in the VIP area of the show.

In the event of a tie, the Contest prize will be awarded to the project that has received the highest number of evaluations.
