CONTEST FOR THE FUTURE OF FASHION

Jury:

Nelly Rodi

Nelly Rodi began her career as an assistant in the Paris office of Woolmark before joining the International Cotton Institute as Director of Fashion and André Courrèges as Director of Communication. In 1975, she was appointed Director of the CIM (Comité de Coordination des Industries de la Mode). She invents the first audiovisual trends and gives recommendations to more than 500 international companies to develop new products. In 1985, she left CIM and founded her own trend agency, which met with immediate success. She invents new ways of working based on a double intuition: on the first hand, fashion is no longer simply a matter of creation but also of marketing, on the other hand, fashion phenomena are no longer only influencing textiles or clothing but more generally the whole universe of the person: beauty, decoration, food, the automobile, technology...
In 1987, she founds a subsidiary in Japan, and then throughout the 1990s, she sets up an important network of agents all around the world. The NellyRodi Agency is established in 21 countries.
Today, NellyRodi Agency is one of the international leaders in providing forward-looking information to all creative actors. Its clients include most of the major luxury and consumer goods groups. In addition to her professional activities, Nelly Rodi is also a volunteer for the development of the textile and French fashion. As such, she initiates the "Paris Capitale de la Création" operation as well as the R3iLab network for Intangible Innovation in Industry, under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry.
